Tailstock AdjusterThis tailstock adjuster makes it much easier to adjust the tailstock to center or to adjust it to cut tapers. The tailstock adjuster is made from a piece of 1/2" x 1/2" steel and a piece of 7/16" hex steel or brass. You could also use 1/2" hex stock if that's what you can find. Note that to cut tapers, such as a 3 Morse taper, you will probably have to slot the hole that the clamping bolt goes through. There is a locking bolt on the bottom of the tailstock that is in a slotted hole, but the main hold-down bolt's hole is not slotted.
